Marilena Renda è nata a Erice nel 1976 e vive a Bologna, dove insegna inglese. I suoi libri sono: Bassani, Giorgio. Un ebreo italiano (Gaffi 2010), Ruggine (dot.com press 2012), Arrenditi Dorothy (L’orma 2015), La sottrazione (Transeuropa 2015), Regali ai fantasmi (Mesogea 2017), Fate morgane (L’Arcolaio 2020) e Fuoco degli occhi (Aragno 2022). Con il poema Ruggine è stata finalista al Premio Delfini 2009 e al Premio Carducci 2013, mentre La sottrazione ha vinto il Premio Bologna in Lettere 2019. Fuoco degli occhi è stato finalista al Premio Fortini 2023 e al Premio Napoli 2023.

An Italian Jew (Gaffi 2010), Rust (dot.com press 2012), Surrender, Dorothy (L’orma 2015), Subtraction (Transeuropa 2015), Gifts to Ghosts (Mesogea 2017), Morgan Fate (L’Arcolaio 2020), and Fire in the Eyes (Aragno 2022). Her poem Ruggine was a finalist for the 2009 Delfini Prize and the 2013 Carducci Prize, while Subtraction won the 2019 Bologna Prize in Letters. Fire in the Eyes was a finalist for the 2023 Fortini Prize and the 2023 Napoli Prize.
